I was supposed to be going to Idaho on april 13th to take my friend to her prom and all was good and my rents were paying for my ticket.

But our old truck's engine is now blown and it will cost $10,000 to fix or to get a new truck so they are no longer paying for my ticket.

I need to think of some way to get $700 in time before it would be to late to get a plane ticket :[

AND i have no job until the summer which is lame cause my summer job is 7 hours a day 5 days a week at $10 an hour and i get paid every 2nd week.

So i would have the money after one pay cheque but my job doesn't start till june

I need ideas cause im insanely bummed out now

Well..I have an Idea I used when I was about your age that works very well. Simply go to the bank your folks currently bank with and tell them you are interested in establishing credit in the form of a small "secured" loan. This is a common procedure for late teens in order to further establish their future credit rating. You can secure the loan by simply offering that your future paychecks be "direct deposited" into the bank and thus they are assured their "loan" is repaid. Banks benifit by doing this as its "no risk" and also establishes another loan to their credit. do NOT tell them what the money is for..ask for $1,000 and Immediatley deposit $300 into the account to cover first payment. All you need is proof of employment and to sign a direct deposit waiver and theres no reason in the world you wouldn't get the "loan"
If for any reason the bank hesitates..(and they really shouldn't" then ask underr what terms you can establish your future credit THRU them..banks usually are ready to assist in that area and I'm certain they will work with you.
