I'm a mother!!!!

No I'm not pregnant, but I did buy (well, my step dad technically bought) a 10 week old puppy today! He's teeny tiny and obscenely adorable. I feel like a proud mommy! =P

His name is Soda Pop, after one of the characters from my sister's favorite book, The Outsiders. He is 3/4 Japanese Chin, 1/4 Pomeranian. Mostly white with some brown markings and black around the eyes that makes him look kind of like Zorro. He loves blankets and towels, especially being sort of wrapped up in them. He also loves my 5 inch tall teddy bear (who is almost his size). Oh, and he likes cuddling up into little nooks and falling asleep. His favorite place to relieve himself is in our hall. He also is very playful and already likes nipping at things and follows everybody around.

Soda pop..after SE Hintons "the outsiders" character I guess? very cute indeed:)

Yes. I never read the book, but I love the movie, and I read a little bit about the character Soda Pop and he fit our dog pretty perfectly. Today we took him to the vet and he's doing well. He has an umbilical hernia, which sounded scary but is pretty minor. The vet says it should heal on its own or they can sew it up if needed.

So we're all very happy!
