The situation with fake users

Ok gang..this might run a bit long so bear with me

For a few months now I've noticed some rather odd inconsistancies with a few of our users here. I decided it best to simply go on about my biz and wait to see how things played out before saying anything. Well they played out worse so now its time to spill the beans..

A month or so ago Miz_dee joined our site. She was a girl hailing from California who's only know connection to our site was thru a house music site occasionally visited by another of our members.

During routine maintenence of this site I noticed something rather odd. Her ISP was used by another member as well. Not a big deal except that no one KNEW her..and this other member lives nowhere near California.

Crystal then found out that Miz_dee has two myspace accounts. One stating shes from quuens ny..the other from California. I took the time to write to the one from NY who assured me that the one on our site was not her. She further stated, and I QUOTE, " this is my ONLY site ANYWHERE on the net" Her NY account was at the time set to PRIVATE

The trouble being...If that is her only site anywhere on the net..how could someone swipe her photos unless they were on her friends list?

I asked her to come to our site and post a salute proving she was the REAL miz_dee..she agreed but never did.

Then something else odd happened. Armed with this info CRYSTAL found that Miz Dee was not the only member with accounts in NY and California. It seems that Kesse and all of her friends did as well.

Crystal contacted the "real" california folks and their response was rather odd. They said they knew of the fakes but wasnt really worried.

I know if my photo was being used..much less my entire LIFE being mirrored by someone..I'd be at that site in a heartbeat demanding answers. Their reply was " why are you investigating this?"
As far as Im concerned they are one and the same.

Now maybe having two accounts isnt odd..but in checking kesses ISP I found it comes up BREDBAND SKANOVA..a swedish broadband service. Other ISPS for her included canada and ny..as well as an identical one used by Miz_dee

We then decided to post a few threads that required having a photo with a message attached..a sort of " salute" without demanding one. We got no response from them at all

so as unpleasent as it may be..Im requesting that Kesse submit a salute pic to prove who she is. I know shes stated many times she has no cam..but considering the amount of pics shes posted SOMEONE she knows must.

Its not so much that we even care if she's the person in the pic or NOT, ( she was always fun to talk to whatever the case may be) and I realize this is " just the internet" However I think we all have a right to know who we are speaking with as we would in real life. The question is..why NOT salute?

No one here asked more than friendship and fun..and could care less what anyone looks like..so whats to hide? It would seem to me that its a very small request.

As to why ANYONE would go to such ELABORATE means to conceal things from others...I cannot say. I have ideas but will simply show restraint in hopes Im wrong and that this matter can be resolved. Kesse please post a salute. If its you then theres nothing to worry about..if its not then show us, who cared about you as a friend..who you really are and we will all still be friends. Lets resolve this once and for all, ok?

oh btw, theres a TON more evidence I havent shared concerning this account. And TBH a few more accounts that are questionable. Thanks to Crys who helped a TON in getting to this mess...and for the record..Im nowheres NEAR as computer illiterate as I like to pretend.

Ok, the games up..lets see whats going to happen.. If we ever really meant anything to any of the ones who faked us..they will resolve this so we can all be friends again..

Unfortunately, all you said is true and might be uglier than that... Hopefully, if they care at all, they'll have some dignity and come up with the truth, whatever it may be.

Well Cassie, I'm afraid the lack of response isn't very encouraging...nor is the myspace ny account being deleted. The offers still here to simply return to the site and be whoever they are. I guess thats up to them.

How often has politely asking for a salute to verify been? If the yare fake they usually don't come right out. They will continue to drag it on as long as possible.

We all know about Jerry. He had like EVERYONE fooled. Then there was Justin. and i still say Trev is a huge fake. But asking for salutes never seems to work. If they are fake they will never usually come right out and say it. they will deny and create numerous excuses or photoshop salutes.

Well but this situation far surpasses the others really. There was, and still is, a lot more to this than the others. Im hoping things resolve themselves and yes..trevor was fake too

I wonder if amanda knows he's fake. ^_^

But back to the matter at hand ..

ATM I honestly have nothing to add, I believe it couldn't have been stated any clearer then it has by all of us, But warn that patience is trully wearing thin, This TBH has been quite trying for me on so many different levels..
