| On our local news last night came a story of a 75 year old man who finally trapped the mouse that was in his house. He took it out to a fire barrel he was burning trash in and tossed it inside. The mouse...on FIRE..ran back into the old mans house and in the process set it on fire. It burned to the ground before firemen could extinguish the blaze! | |

| geez christ! That's what happen when we look for revenge. If he had shot the rat or hit its head, would have been instant death! But that's kinda sad, I dunno if the old man will have a place to live from now on, maybe he doesn't have enough money to build another house =( | |

| Gotta Agree with Taylor on this one..Why throw a LIVE mouse into the fire? Just take it a few hundered feet away and let it go. I say he lost the house due to his own cruelty so too bad:) | |

| Mice carry many diseases, not to mention repopulate really very fast and if it had made a home there he couldnt have let it go it would have came back, cause it has nested there .. | |

| by that logic the mice are no better then humans...we carry so many diseases we can spread to others...and we are populating the world so fast that theres no room anymore | |

| Not even close there Ally, your putting words in my mouth now, Mice can have buildings condemed, either way I WOULD have gotten rid of the mouse, maybe not the way he did, but To each thier own, I myself just don't really see it as a poetic type justice.. | |

| just bc they "get buildings condemed" doesnt mean that we should kill them. what gives humans the right to play god with other creatures? just bc they didnt evolve like humans have doesnt mean they dont deserve to live just like us...that mouse was just trying to survive as do people, and animals out in the wild...i dont believe any creature deserves to die at the hands of a cruel person...sure theres the food chain...and thats one thing...but to kill an innocent creature bc it was in ur house is just wrong | |

| well I didnt want to cause an arguement..lol. My point is that while no one wants a mouse living in the house throwing a living creature into a fire is pretty cruel and there are many more humane ways to dispose of it. I have no sympathy for him really. | |

| well I recenty caught a mouse in my store and I simply put him in a box until closing and then dropped him off a few miles down the road. I know others use the "have a heart" traps and release them elsewhere OR for gods sake get a cat and let nature take its course. Sometimes just the SMELL of a cat will scare mice away indoors anyway. Never was a big fan of hurting anything ....anything not HUMAN anyways:) lol | |
