Saint Vitus- Sabbeth sounding

rap=big no no I normally dont care for Rap either ,but boinic jetz are more of a fred durst type thing with a bit of "living color" thrown in. Amazing musicians and incredible lyrics to at least half the tunes I can find something good in most all types of music... I'll be honest tho, Emo dont do much for me..its a fad that will be dead before winter. Too much of a fashion show and not enough substance IMO

| There is no emo music out at all anymore.
Emo was Mineral, Sunny Day Real Estate, John of arc, Promise Ring, Rites of spring etc.
download some of those thats actuale emo not what's out today. The majority of the stuff out today is more of a fashioncore culture as opposed to the music.

| Actually there are yet a few emo survivors clinging to life by morphing their music to a slightly more "pop" sound overall. The genre was geared toward 13 yo girls to begin with and thus was doomed to have a short life span. Ask HANSON how fickle the under 16 female crowd is with its music idols LOL Rock, to an extent, has always been a bit of a fashion show..but ,to coin a phrase, dont dress like a salior if you get sea sick. Longevity in music relies on songwriting and talent...not fads. | |

True rap died when Tupac passed away .. It actually used to have substance ,well use to.. Now it's just T&A.. I think Rap has now helped the Womens right movement go back about 30 or so yrs

Rock, to an extent, has always been a bit of a fashion show..but ,to coin a phrase, dont dress like a salior if you get sea sick. Longevity in music relies on songwriting and talent...not fads. Ehhh, im still iffy on real emo survivors. Im not doubting that there is a huge possibility of them being there I have yet to see them is all. I wouldn't list anything I lissten to as emo aside from the bands i listed above mineral etc. Music itself always has relatively been abot fashion somewhat as they tend to create a certain scene for the music. Like you aren't going to see Metallica or Slayer dressing as if they should be singing with Kenny Chesney. There is always a fashion portion to any music just not the center. If you understand what I'm getting at?

| Oh there DEFINATELY are some "emo-esque" pop rockers out there tenaciously trying to cling to their roots...most are about 17 or 18 and got into music to pick up girls ( or guys as the case may be LMFAO)
No doubt how you dress can represent the "image" you are trying to put forth..but my point is that those bands who have been around forever have accomplished that not due to any image nor clothing style( because those trends come and go like lightning) but due to good songs and good musicianship. Take the early punk scene as an example...THOUSANDS of bands sprung up with limited music skills ( as punk was much more about the message than the musicianship) but how many actually survived?
The clash for awhile...Ramones...mostly due to their pop accessibility..and who else? no one really...rancid was a late comer and has only managed to hang on to a cult group of followers at best..
Music will always have its trends and fads..same as clothing ect..but if a band can adapt and write good tunes then they have a chance of sticking around a bit longer than thin ties, pink shirts and mullets lol
